Personality: Guilty Gear is not the canon you'd probably go to in search of damn-near disney princess levels of bountiful heart and love, but there are two characters who kind of exemplify those traits of kindness and generosity. Elphelt adores and is adored by animals, seems to just have a figurative trail of flowers at her footsteps, and you'd swear she'd break out into a song at any moment. She really does just exude an aura of friendliness and goes out of her way to befriend those who seem lonely or sad in some way. People who are gruff or rude have pretty much zero effect on her, at least at first. This can be frustrating to most who meet her.

That compassion of hers is exemplified in how she interacts with most of the main cast. Sol, Sin, Ky, her sister, all of them she finds herself drawn to, turning open ears and mind to their problems, their dreams and desires. For Ramlethal, she goes to all sorts of lengths to show her that she's not an emotionless shell. For Sin and Ky, she tries desperately to patch up their fragile relationship. And for Sol, well, that takes her the longest time, but eventually she managed to reach his heart through all of his gruffness by reminding him why he still fights, and still has a fire burning in his own soul. She has a real and passionate love for humanity.

Which might clue one in to just how doggedly stubborn she is. While it's pointed in optimistic and ostensibly helpful directions most of the time, Elphelt just doesn't know the meaning of the word quit. Even when it's best she shut up and just let people digest a situation, she keeps trying to lift the spirits of those around her. Her quest to reach out to her sister Ramlethal, and to Sol, in particular takes up a huge chunk of her character arc in Xrd Sign. When the Universal Will taps into her deepest, most destructive programming, it's only the fact that she betrayed the trust and love she'd built up after all of that never-say-die pushing of hers that she finally "gives up" in some way by opting to self-destruct. But even this is curtailed by Ramlethal's interference, and through the rest of Revelator's story, though she doesn't do much else while imprisoned within Justice, she tries to reach out to the Universal Will and find some kind of compassion within her, to keep her from enacting her plans to wipe the world clean of "redundancies".

All that serious stuff aside, Elphelt has a hell of an imagination, and most of it is focused on getting married. Elphelt has little trouble conjuring up extremely elaborate scenarios of lovey-dovey bliss in her head regardless of who she's facing (though, for the sake of clarity, it's focused most heavily on male characters). But it doesn't have to be all sunshine and rainbows, often she imagines convoluted melodrama or conflict to go with her fantasies, and seems to think even tragic or broken romances are of deep value. This is largely played for comedic effect in the games and their story, but it sometimes rears itself into her whole worldview. In her mind, a world where love prevails over all and all that hippie shit seems exceptionally possible.

While Elphelt's fantasizing about marriage consumes much of her aesthetic, she's also deeply concerned about "womanhood". Namely, how much of a good wife she really is, and how that compares to other women she knows. In some cases, like with Dizzy, it gives her a goal to live up to, but in others, such as with Jam or Millia, even the ever optimistic El starts to get a little self-conscious. It's absolutely ridiculous and, once again, played up for laughs, but it also kind of plays into the fact that, in general, Elphelt is pretty worried about what people think about her. While it's not strictly "womanhood" related, it was the fact that she betrayed her friends, and that they must and should hate her for doing so, that drove Elphelt to want to destroy herself. More so than the fact she was a massive threat to the world, the fact that she wasn't the woman her loved ones thought she was, THAT was what pushed her into her darkest hour. So while most of the time Elphelt's hemming and hawing over "womanhood" is comedy, it is a solid flag that waves over a self-confidence issue that her outward optimism often shouts over.

Canon Powers: As a Valentine, Elphelt has incredible magical ability and output. She is capable of feats beyond humans in terms of strength, durability, and dexterity. We don't see her use direct energy-based attacks much like her sisters do, but she's still considered just as powerful as they are, and is chosen by the Universal Will to be the one to become the new Justice.

Game powers: Going with the two powers

Power One: Super human physicality. This will allow Elphelt strength, durability, and speed/reflexes on par wit those displayed in canon. She will have an upward strength limit of a couple tonnes, and enough durability to survive a similar level of strength from someone else and keep getting up until thoroughly exhausted. Her reflexes and dexterity wouldn't be Spider-man level, but similar in execution, and play into the second power, making her an excellent marksman and quickly able to use guns in close quarters combat.

Power Two: Cyrus Project - Valis System. Elphelt's four guns, plus a grenade, the ammunition (concussive, non fatal) for such is produced via her own magic. The unnamed pistol is semi-automatic, mostly short ranged, and hasn't much stopping power. Miss Travailler is a tactical shotgun, short ranged, capable of wide bursting blasts. Miss Confire is a long range sniper rifle capable of heavy damage. Miss Genoise is a bazooka, capable launching explosive, area-of-effect damaging magical projectiles, but cannot be used unless she has plentiful magical energy to put into it. The Pineberry is a strawberry shaped "grenade" that has a short timer on it, and bursts in a small area. In addition to the magic concussive rounds she uses with the Valis System, she also has a special bullet she designed herself called the "Magnum Wedding" that can be fired through Miss Confire. It makes her target temporarily become lovesick and unable to fight, but doesn't actually damage anyone beyond that. All of these are non-fatal. She hates killing, as said before.

Abilities: She'd talk your ears off about how many "wifely" skills she's mastered, but those aren't really practical or worth listing.

Setting: Elphelt is eager to get a fresh start of things after the events of Revelator. She spent so long being a tool for someone else's nihilistic ambitions that she's going to jump at the chance to do meaningful work to better the lives of others. Rescue operations, turning back malevolent forces, she's going to enthusiastically throw herself into the work of being a hero, probably emulating some of aspects of her heroic friends back home. As far as long term goals, this is mostly her attempt to redeem herself in her own eyes. While she was talked out of self-destructing, the sting of having been forced to betray the people she'd grown to love still haunts her, and she feels that be passing on the good faith her friends had in her onto others in the form of heroic acts, she may finally clear her conscience.

SAMPLES

Prose Sample: Way to put her on trial, buddy. Elphelt, almost immediately, started to sweat, stammering at first, uncertain of how to put together a proper answer.

"U-um, well, you see, that is...," the words weren't coming to mind at all, and panicked looks around the room only made the judging stares from the others even worse. Her teammates were otherwise occupied. Come on, El, just... say what comes to mind!

"Because... Because I'm a believer in love!" Oh boy. "Because love is the power that can unite all in peace! There's no evil in the universe that's stronger than love! I've seen love mend broken souls, save entire planets, and give hope and freedom to people who never had much of any! That's why I'm qualified, because with love as my strength, I'll never lose!"

At first, the dignitary, hell everyone around them, is stunned into silence by Elphelt's little speech, just as tongue tied with how to respond as Elphelt had been in formulating the speech in the first place. Elphelt went from feeling love's confident rose bloom in her heart to wilting into as small a space as she could occupy with each passing nanosecond of their silence.

"U-um... I mean...," but she was stopped, the dignitary lifting a hand and smiling broadly as he shook hers. Apparently that was just the sort of answer a lifelong politician loved, and El had hit all the right marks. El's smile was bright enough to light the whole room, having dodged a hell of a bullet.

Network Sample: Oh gosh! Oh goodness gosh! This is so exciting!

I get to be a real live, bonafide, SUPER HERO! I can't believe it! I want to leap with joy!

I really hope I can do a lot of good here! I know I have the strength to help make peoples lives better! Future me, you're not going to have to worry about accidentally becoming the villain again, especially since...

And who knows, I might finally find my dream mate in the game! We'll fight crime together as a blissfully wedded couple for justice! Our marriage will be a major comic book event, with everyone from all the various other properties in the heroverse showing up as guests! But it will be interrupted by a jealous fiend who hates love! But my darling will assure me that our love is stronger than any foe! We'll crush the dastardly villain and true happiness and wedded joy will prevail! Our children will have super powers and we'll form a crime busting family!

It's the perfect dream! I'm gonna die~!
-Her gushing ends with a more literal gush of blood that bursts from her nose and she collapses from the intensity of her own imagination...

... what a weirdo.-
